Today this family lives and works in the city nearby and spends weekends in this country home which they are restoring - a common activity since the fall of Communism in 1989. The Berny family graciously welcomed us with fresh apple strudel and slivovice, a Moravian made plum brandy. WOW...strong! Our ancestors, the Gottsteins owned the mill for several generations. Franz Buchar and Marie Gottstein are Lynn's Great, Great, Great, Great Grandparents!!!
