We are in the village of Jamolice, Moravia. Mom is trying her Czech out and asking about the Maly family.  The sign on the door outside of this establishment said,  "Hospoda" The way it is pronounced sounded like "hospital"...I told mom after we left, "It sure looked like a beer joint to me! Hospoda means public place or tavern!
