Here we are visiting the current Czech speaking residents of house #28, original home site of Joseph Scholz (born Jan. 28, 1798 in Zalesni Lhota, Bohemia). As we hiked up the hill to find #28, we noticed a lady on the balcony of the house holding a freshly killed fowl and a furry rabbit ready to clean. She promptly put them down and came to greet us. We did some hand communication until the better speaking Czech speakers of our group arrived. We were informed that fire damaged part of the original house and it was reconstructed. (owner in white shirt with blue trim).
