Karlovy Vary is a traditional Czech Spa. People come here from all over the world for "medical" treatment. In some cases medical insurance picks up the tab. People that come for the 3 week treatment have to stay in apartments or spas and drink from these 12 different mineral water fountains. There is a river here called TEPLA (Czech word that means warm). The water that comes from the spa is near boiling. There is even a geyser on display in one of the buildings.
